Mary Alice (Larson) Lomma, age 50, of Winfield, IL, was called to heaven by our Lord on Monday, September 26, 2022. She was born in Rockford, IL on December 11, 1971, a gift from God to loving parents, Peter and Marianne (Poli) Larson. She graduated from Boylan Catholic High School and went on to complete her Undergraduate Degree from Illinois Wesleyan University. Mary’s dedication to her profession and her unwavering commitment to helping others serve as a powerful inspiration to us all. She found her calling to be a nurse, just like her beloved Aunt Betty Earlywine, and received her Nursing Degree from Loyola University Nursing School. She worked in the MICU for over 25 years at Loyola University Hospital in Maywood, IL. This was her first and only job…a true testament of her desire to live out her life of service to others. Mary took exceptional pride in precepting new nurses, helping new medical residents and respiratory therapists. Her love for helping and caring for others was the epitome of her nursing career as well as her family life. Mary leaves behind a legacy of true companionship with her colleagues and the tight-knit group of friends that were part of her family.
